When we received Maddie on 11/9/04 she was 13 months old. She weighed 18lbs and could not walk. She didn't cry, but she did seem sad. She didn't really babble all that much either. She throws the worst fits (well she, Gracie and Hannah are tied). The reasons I am saying all of this, is because I don't believe their is a "perfect" child. None of us our perfect. If you are reading this and expecting to go over to China and receive the "perfect" child, then don't go. Change countries now. The children are small, delayed and are suffering from a lack of nutrition and nurturing. They need someone to love them. They don't need someone to judge them. Also, you are not going over there to "save" a child. That is not your job. Your job is to raise them. Your most important job is to love them. It is an honor that we have been given to raise these and any other children that we have in our life.
