Today at gymnastics

They worked on technique for forward rolls, backward rolls, handstands and cartwheels. Maddie was proud that she landed her cartwheel on the line... if you can't tell.

Gymnastics

Maddie has gotten a lot better at gymnastics in just the short time that she's been at this new gym. She loves it. Her new coach is from Russia and I found out today that starting the first week of August her team will be Pre-team 2. The next level is competition. She was so excited about that. She can't wait.


I also remember I never did Brandon's birthday bullet post. Look for that sometime tonight.

Gymnastics and stuff

Yesterday we went and got a practice low beam for Maddie that I got off of cra^!gs&ist. She loves it. Today she was practicing her cartwheels and she was starting to get really good. Sophie was practicing her handstands and was getting pretty good. Here's some videos and some pictures.

Gymnastics

Maddie is doing so good in gymnastics. She has gotten so many skills and just looks better and better every class. Next week she gets new coaches. I'm pretty excited about it. They are from Russia and the female coach who is coming was the 1980 Russian National Champion on beam. I can't wait to see what they (she and her husband) can do with the girls. Here are some pictures and a video. I really need another camera to take better pictures especially when Sophie starts playing soccer (that's what she has decided) to get those great action shots.

Maddie's gymnastics

It's not pretty, but she's getting it. She got her first kick over on her own at gymnastics yesterday morning. Today she wanted to practice and I wanted to get it on camera. She's doing great for only be doing it for 2 months at her new gym.

Maddie's gymnastics

Maddie started at a new gym on Tuesday. She goes Tuesday's and Thursday for 1 1/2 hours each day. She loves, loves, loves, loves it. They are actually learning a lot more things than they did at her other gym. She's on the pre-team. She can't get enough. She ask if it's time to go to gym every day. I'm glad she loves it. Today was her first day ever on the high beam. She did great. She only fell a couple of times.

Sophie will be taking drums in August when school starts. She's excited about that. She keeps asking when is she going to get to go.
