Happy Birthday Sophie!

I tried to post this yesterday, but blogger wasn't cooperating. Remember to click on the pictures to make them bigger.

First, Happy Birthday to Mimi and Aunt Carol. I am so glad that Sophie gets to share this wonderful day with two wonderful people. We love you!

This weekend has been the busiest weekend. It started on Thursday. I went to pick up Sophie's birthday cake from Publix. I ordered her a Thomas pull a part cake. They forgot to make it. They gave me 4 packs of 6 cupcakes. If Publix offered more of a selection and had better prices, I would shop there in a heartbeat. They were so nice.

Friday was her birthday at school. She had a great time. They made her a birthday crown and sang to her. She was beaming when I picked her up.

Saturday - Sunday was family stuff. She and Maddie got their birthday presents from Mimi, Aunt Donna, Uncle Louie and Cousin Ben. They loved their Baby Alive's and their art sets and makeups. The faces on those two were just priceless.

Today was the actual day of her birthday. Daddy asked her if she wanted hamburgers or steak for her birthday and she said steak. He asked her if she wanted hamburgers or hotdogs for her birthday and she said steak, so we had steak for dinner :). We let her open her birthday presents while the grill was heating up. Maddie picked out a Diego ATV. Brandon gave her a Thomas train set. We gave her a stuffed baby jaguar that growls. She looked out of sorts somewhat. She loved the train set. She was so excited she got her "choo choo" birthday. She loved her cake and ice cream. Daddy then took them out for a tractor ride.

I think she had a very good birthday weekend. Saturday is their joint birthday with their friends and Sunday is another family party (then a week after that is Maddie and daddy's birthday). I think I'm going to be birthday'd out.

I just want to say how amazing this sweet, funny 5 year girl is. She has been such a blessing to us and everyone she meets. She has such an amazing personality. She is so funny and charms everyone she meets. I can not imagine life without her. She just makes you smile. Her whole face lights up and she has such a joy about her. We are so thankful to the people who found her and sent her to live in Dandong. We are so thankful to the staff at Dandong for taking such good care of her. She is such a ray of sunshine..... ask anyone who knows her and they will tell you so :).

She shares my birthday too. I love having the 9/3 bday, esp when it falls on Labor Day.
