FFFF Hugs

This weeks FFFF challenge is all about hugs. We love to give hugs and kisses in our family. It's the best thing. The only one who isn't really hug and kisses friendly is Brandon, but he's 14. One day I checked Brandon out early from school. The girls were with me. They saw their brother and took off to give him a hug. It was too funny to see the girls grabbing his legs and him trying to peel them off. He's still a good brother though. Hope on over and see all the other sweet hugs being given at Loving Lydia's.

This weeks FFFF is about quotes. I love quotes. If you notice everytime I change my header, I have a new quote. I found this quote last night and I love it. I think we can all relate to it. Click on the picture to make it bigger.

FFFF, Mimi and Ear Piercing

This weeks FFFF is about Storytime. The girls love books. Maddie and Sophie love to "read" books and be read to. Maddie's favorite book (which I forgot all about when I made the page) is "Bubble Trouble". It's a book about a little boy in a bath who makes lot's of bubbles and they take over the town. Sophie loves Dora books.

Mimi is home from the hospital.... yea!!!!!! We hope she feels better soon! We love you!

Maddie got her ears pierced! She was so excited. She climbed right up into the chair and sat there and waited. The lady then rubbed the alcohol on her ears and she was a little less excited. Then the lady marked her ears and I could see the look on Maddie's face change. Then as quick as it started, she put the first one in. Maddie had that shocked look on her face and started saying "mommy, mommy", but she didn't cry and the lady put the other one in. She never cried and didn't scream. She was so happy to have them. I think they look cute. I couldn't get that great of a picture, but you get the idea. Sophie was going to do it until she saw Maddie and then she covered her ears and decided she would wait until she was older.
(updated - yes after I was looking back over this I realized I misspelled cleaning on Maddie's page. I know there is supposed to be an n :))

Bling

This weeks FFFF is all about the bling. Here are some pictures I took during the summer. The girls played dress up with every bit of play jewelry that they have. It was too funny. They have since added more jewelry and makeup so there will be lots more bling pictures I'm sure.

Click on over to Loving Lydia's to see some more cute bling.

Christmas Tree

This weeks FFFF is about Christmas trees. We actually had two trees this year. The first tree we went to a local tree farm to cut it down. They didn't have any pines. They only had cyprus trees. It was the Sunday that my mam maw was sick and I really wasn't in the mood. We took it home and decorated it. It looked like a huge bush! It just wasn't very pretty. Well about a week or so after that AJ decided we needed a new tree. I went to Home Depot and bought a $25 Douglas fir. It is beautiful. I love it! Guess we will be doing that next year!

Stop on over to see the other families and their beautiful trees.

Happy Thanksgiving

This year we have so much to be thankful for. We hope that your family has a wonderful Thanksgiving. Don't each too much turkey.

Here's a heartwarming Thanksgiving story. Last night Sophie went with me to pick up Brandon from his grandmother's house. She fell asleep on the way home and I carried her to her bed. Maddie was a little lost last night without her sister. This morning Maddie was sleeping in bed with me and Sophie was still in her room. Sophie came in and Maddie saw her and the first thing she said was "I missed you last night my sissy". Ahhhh.

Updated to add to FFFF. Check out all of the other wonderful Thanksgiving blessings.

FFFF

This weeks FFFF is dressing for the weather. The girls love to play in the rain. As you can see, they don't always "dress" for the weather. I am also posting one of my favorite pictures of Maddie ever. Before Sophie got here Maddie was playing with her hat and gloves. I took some pictures of her. She just looked so beautiful and was having such a good time.

FFFF - Ice Cream

Amy over at Catching Butterflies has taken over the Fridays Favorite Foto Challenge. These are so much fun to do. For the first one, Amy picked ice cream. We are not big ice cream eaters, but we LOVE us some popsicles. We have recently discovered Popsicle brand "Mighty Magic Minis". Oh my word these things are so tasty. They are small enough for the kids to not get to many that is if they get any. There are 30 little popsicles in the box and they have been known to disappear around here. The girls will eat just about any popsicle. They love them all. They do like ice cream. Maddie loves butter pecan, Sophie likes vanilla and Brandon loves cookie dough.

Wild West FFFF

This weeks FFFF is Wild West. The top picture is of the girls tonight. Daddy got out the wagon and Maddie enjoyed pulling Sophie around. The bottom left is Sophie at the Children's Museum last week. The girls had a great time. The middle is Brandon a couple of years back being silly at his grandmothers house. The bottom left is Maddie all decked out in her rainboots, pink Braves hat, skirt and riding her horse. (you can click on the picture to make it bigger)

FFFF - Love

This weeks FFFF is all about love. We have a lot of love in our house. Daddy is the biggest thing in this house. These girls love their daddy. When Maddie first came home, daddy was not her favorite. It took about 2 weeks for her to fully warm up to him. With Sophie it was immediate. She wasn't afraid of him. She went right to him. They are both daddy's girls. Sisterly love was not immediate, but it is there. Maddie adores her sister. When Sophie and I came home Maddie took off for Sophie and left me in the dust. I think there relationship has gotten better. They still fight and whine at each other, but what sisters don't. The other love around here is tractors. The girls love their tractors. Okay, daddy loves the tractors too. The girls love to go on tractor rides. Sophie is fascinated every time daddy works on a tractor.
The other love around here is Brandon. He doesn't always get much mention on the blog, but that's because he's old enough to get embarrassed. He's 13, going on 14. He doesn't like to have his picture taken and he doesn't like to go with us anywhere. I guess we embarrass him. I'm kind of jealous he gets the house to himself :). He is really good with his sisters although he sometimes likes to egg them on against each other. He's a sweet kid and we love him very much.

FFFF

This weeks FFFF is about baby strollers. Well we don't have a double stroller for the girls so I thought I would take pictures of them in their "baby" strollers. When Sophie first came home (2 weeks ago today which is hard to believe) the girls fought over the strollers. That first Saturday we made a trip to Walmart and bought the second one. Now they only fight over every other toy. As AJ says "It's like having twins". What one wants, the other wants more. They are getting along a lot better than they were the first week or so. They still have their moments especially in the morning and at night.
